Jan Christensen, an author, has been writing and publishing short stories, most of them mysteries, for about fifteen years. As a consequence, she's had almost forty short stories published. Several of them are here on the website and there are links to a couple more. Her novel, "Sara's Search," is out now, and you can order an autographed copy directly from Jan (see link at left).

In the book, Sara Putnam has been searching for her biological father, Howard, for two years. When she finds him murdered, she looks for the who and the why. Along the way she meets with Howard's eccentric partner, Howard's ex-wife and their son who calls his mother "the bank," plus other assorted suspects. She also has to deal with her adopted mother's roadblocks, her crazy roommate's problems, sexual harassment at work and her best friend's strange illness. Will Sara find what she is looking for before it kills her?

Read Jan's story, "Santa Solves a Murder," plus many more, in this Christmas Anthology, all proceeds going to Toys for Tots!

Editor and publisher Tony Burton says, "Last year's anthology raised $1,365 for Toys for Tots, and we hope to surpass that by a substantial amount this year. Keep your candy canes crossed that we do! The authors include (in order of appearance) Sue Ann Jaffarian, Earl Staggs, Thomas H. Cook, Gail Farrelly, Nick Andreychuk, Herschel Cozine, Frank Zafiro, Chris Grabenstein, Deborah Elliott-Upton, Jan Christensen, Austin S. Camacho, Tony Burton, Gay T. Kinman, Margaret Fenton and Peggy Jaegly. All of these authors crafted captivating stories of crime, mystery and mayhem set in the winter holiday season and donated their work to support this very worthwhile cause, the Toys for Tots."

The retail price of "Carols and Crimes, Gifts and Grifters" is $11.95, and is available  through your local bookstore, on-line at Amazon.com, or you may order directly from the publisher. ISBN 978-1-60364-002-2.

I would love to know that writing my story, "Santa Solves a Murder," for the anthology helped raise a lot of money for Toys for Tots!

As traveler, Jan lives fulltime in a motorhome with her husband, Chris. They travel at will, frequently stopping in places for a month or so, then moving on. The first year they did most of the east coast; the second year all of the west coast; and the third year the east coast again. They get back to the Arlington, Texas, area where they started, every holiday season to be with family.

Please come inside to find out more about Jan's writing, RVing and other interests. Don't forget to sign the guest book, or even send her an email with questions and comments (see link at left).
